Sony Xperia J is a little bit better than Alcatel OneTouch 997, getting a 53.9 score against 49.2. Both of these phones use Android OS, but the Sony Xperia J has 4.1.2 version while Alcatel OneTouch 997 has Android 4.0, so it provides you a couple nice extra features and performance tweaks. Sony Xperia J's design is lighter and thinner than the Alcatel OneTouch 997.
The Alcatel OneTouch 997 has a bit better processor than Sony Xperia J, and although they both have a 200 MHz graphics co-processor, the Alcatel OneTouch 997 also has more cpu cores. The Xperia J counts with a little sharper display than Alcatel OneTouch 997, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a little higher amount of pixels per inch of display and a quite better resolution of 854 x 480 pixels.
The Alcatel OneTouch 997 features a much better camera than Xperia J, because it has a much more MP camera in the back and a much better 1280x720 video quality. The Xperia J counts with as much storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos as the Alcatel OneTouch 997, both have exactly the same 4 GB internal storage capacity and a SD memory card expansion slot that admits up to 32 GB.
Alcatel OneTouch 997 features a little longer battery duration than Xperia J, because it has 1800mAh of battery capacity against 1750mAh.
Even being the best phone of the ones we compare here, the Sony Xperia J is also cheap compared to the other phone.
