The HTC Desire 500 has a general score of 57.1, which is just a bit better than the Alcatel OneTouch Star's 52 overall score. Despite being the best cellphone in this review, HTC Desire 500's design is a little bit thicker and a little bit heavier than the Alcatel OneTouch Star. These devices work with Android OS (Operating System), but HTC Desire 500 has 4.1.2 version and Alcatel OneTouch Star has Android 4.1 version.
Alcatel OneTouch Star and HTC Desire 500 both have really similar displays, because although the HTC Desire 500 has a just a bit inferior amount of pixels per inch of screen, and they both have the same exact 800 x 480 resolution, it also counts with a bit bigger display. The HTC Desire 500 has a bit better CPU than Alcatel OneTouch Star, because it has a higher amount of RAM and a greater number of cores (and faster).
HTC Desire 500 captures just a bit better videos and photos than Alcatel OneTouch Star, and although they both have the same 1280x720 (HD) video resolution and the same video frame rates, the HTC Desire 500 also has a back camera with much more megapixels. The HTC Desire 500 counts with more storage capacity for apps and games than Alcatel OneTouch Star, and although they both have the same 4 GB internal memory, the HTC Desire 500 also has a slot for SD memory cards that allows a maximum of 64 GB.
The HTC Desire 500 has superior battery life than Alcatel OneTouch Star, because it has a 1800mAh battery capacity.
Even being the best phone in our current comparison, HTC Desire 500 is also a bargain compared to the other ones.
