Motorola DROID MAXX has a global score of 68.3, which is a bit better than Alcatel ONYX's score of 64.2. Although it's the best phone in our current comparison, the Motorola DROID MAXX design is older, somewhat heavier and a little bit thicker than Alcatel ONYX. Both phones we compare here work with Android OS, but Motorola DROID MAXX has 4.4.4 version and Alcatel ONYX has Android 8.1 Oreo version.

Motorola DROID MAXX has a slightly better display than Alcatel ONYX, because although it has a little lower 1280 x 720 resolution and a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a quite greater screen pixels density. The Alcatel ONYX has a little bit better hardware performance than Motorola DROID MAXX, and although they both have a 2 GB RAM, the Alcatel ONYX also has a higher number of cores (although slower).

The Alcatel ONYX shoots just a bit better photographs and videos than Motorola DROID MAXX, because although it has slower video frame rates, and they both have the same video resolution, the Alcatel ONYX also counts with a larger camera aperture and a back facing camera with much more mega-pixels.
