Apple iPhone 12 mini is much better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, with a score of 88.5 against 76.6. Although Apple iPhone 12 mini and the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 were released only 6 months apart, Apple iPhone 12 mini is thinner and way lighter. Apple iPhone 12 mini works with iOS 14.x operating system, while Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has Android 10 operating system.
IPhone 12 mini counts with a more powerful processing unit than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, because although it has a lower number of cores (although they are faster), it also counts with a 64-bit processing unit and more RAM. IPhone 12 mini features a more vivid display than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, because although it has a bit smaller display, and they both have an equal 1080 x 2340 resolution, the iPhone 12 mini also counts with a quite better pixel number per inch of display.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 features a way bigger memory for applications, games, photos and videos than iPhone 12 mini, and although they both have exactly the same internal storage capacity, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 also has an external SD slot that holds a maximum of 128 GB. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 captures slightly better photographs and videos than iPhone 12 mini, because although it has a smaller camera aperture and lower 30 fps video frame rates, and they both have the same (Full HD) video resolution, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 also counts with a way higher resolution camera.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has a superior battery lifetime than iPhone 12 mini, because it has a 5020mAh battery capacity against 2227mAh.
Although iPhone 12 mini is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Xiaomi Redmi Note 9. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy the iPhone 12 mini, otherwise you can save some money and buy the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, giving up some specs and features.
