The iPhone 12 mini is better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, having an 88.5 score against 79. Even when iPhone 12 mini and the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S were released with only a few months difference, iPhone 12 mini is incredibly lighter and somewhat thinner. IPhone 12 mini counts with iOS 14.x OS, and Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S comes with Android 11 OS.
The Apple iPhone 12 mini features a more powerful processor than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, because although it has lesser CPU cores , and they both have a 4 GB RAM memory, the Apple iPhone 12 mini also counts with a 64-bits CPU. IPhone 12 mini has a brighter screen than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, because although it has a quite smaller screen and a bit lower 1080 x 2340 resolution, it also counts with a just a bit greater pixels amount in each inch of screen.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S features a much bigger memory capacity for games and applications than iPhone 12 mini, and although they both have the same internal memory, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S also has an external SD slot that holds up to 512 GB. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S has a much longer battery life than Apple iPhone 12 mini, because it has a 125 percent more battery capacity.

So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy Apple iPhone 12 mini, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and buy the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, letting go some specs and features.
