Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max has an overall score of 93.2, which is a bit better than the Apple iPhone 13's score of 91.5. The Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max body is just a little thinner than Apple iPhone 13, but it's way heavier and was released around 10 months before. Both devices in this comparison review include the same iOS 15.x OS, so both should give you very similar OS features.
The Apple iPhone 13 and iPhone 12 Pro Max feature really similar processors, and although the Apple iPhone 13 has a smaller amount of RAM memory, they both have 6 cpu cores and a 64-bit processing unit. IPhone 13 has a display that's just as good as the screen in iPhone 12 Pro Max, and although the iPhone 13 has a bit worse resolution of 1170 x 2532 and a bit smaller display, they both have the same pixel density and the same brightness.
The Apple iPhone 13 has as much storage to install applications and games as the iPhone 12 Pro Max, both have exactly the same 128 GB internal memory capacity. The Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max features a bit superior battery life than Apple iPhone 13, because it has a 3687mAh battery size. IPhone 13 counts with a camera that is just as good as iPhone 12 Pro Max's camera, they have a camera with a 12 megapixels resolution, the same video frame rates, a F1.6 aperture and the same (4K) video resolution.
Although iPhone 12 Pro Max is a better device, it costs more than iPhone 13, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as iPhone 13.
