Comparison review
The iPhone 12 Pro Max is better than the Asus ZenFone 8, having a 93.2 score against 83. The iPhone 12 Pro Max design is somewhat thinner but much heavier than Asus ZenFone 8, and they were released only a few months apart. IPhone 12 Pro Max counts with iOS 15.x OS, while Asus ZenFone 8 counts with Android 11 OS.
The iPhone 12 Pro Max features a faster processor than Asus ZenFone 8, because although it has an inferior number of cores , and they both have a 6 GB RAM, the iPhone 12 Pro Max also counts with a 64 bits CPU.
