Apple iPhone 12 Pro is much better than the Samsung Galaxy M12, having a global score of 92.8 against 80. Even though the Apple iPhone 12 Pro and Samsung Galaxy M12 were released with only 5 months difference, the Apple iPhone 12 Pro is notably thinner and somewhat lighter. Apple iPhone 12 Pro has iOS 15.x OS, while Samsung Galaxy M12 comes with Android 10 OS.
Apple iPhone 12 Pro features a better processing unit than Samsung Galaxy M12, because although it has less cpu cores (although they are faster), it also counts with a 64-bit CPU and 2 GB more RAM.
