IPhone 12 has a general score of 88.7, which is a little bit better than Apple iPhone SE (2020)'s 81.5 score. IPhone 12's design has the same thickness than the Apple iPhone SE (2020), but it is just a little heavier. These devices use the same iOS 15.x OS (Operating System), so they should count with all the same operating system features.
IPhone 12 counts with a brighter screen than iPhone SE (2020), because it has a bigger screen, way more brightness, a way better 1170 x 2532 resolution and a higher amount of pixels per inch in the screen. IPhone 12 features a bit better processing power than Apple iPhone SE (2020), and although they both have a 64 bits CPU and 6 processing cores, the iPhone 12 also has more RAM memory.
Apple iPhone SE (2020)'s memory capacity for applications and games is very similar to the iPhone 12 one, both have exactly the same 64 GB internal storage capacity. Apple iPhone 12 has a much longer battery performance than Apple iPhone SE (2020), because it has a 55% bigger battery capacity. Apple iPhone SE (2020) captures a little bit better videos and photos than iPhone 12, although it has a smaller camera aperture which is not so good for low-light photos and videos, they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, the same resolution back facing camera and the same video frame rates.
Although iPhone 12 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the iPhone SE (2020), and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as iPhone SE (2020). So if you want that extra specs, you can buy iPhone 12, else you can save a couple dollars and get the iPhone SE (2020), letting go some features and specifications.
