IPhone 12 is better than the Galaxy Note 5, having a global score of 88.7 against 79.3. IPhone 12's construction is much newer, just a little bit thinner and a little lighter than the Galaxy Note 5. IPhone 12 has iOS 15.x operating system, while Galaxy Note 5 works with Android 5.1 operating system.
IPhone 12 has a lot better hardware performance than Galaxy Note 5, and although they both have a 4 GB RAM memory, the iPhone 12 also has a 64-bit processor and 5 more cpu cores. The Galaxy Note 5 and iPhone 12 both count with extremely similar displays, because although the Galaxy Note 5 has a little smaller screen, it also counts with a quite better 2560 x 1440 resolution and a bit greater display pixel density.
The Galaxy Note 5 and Apple iPhone 12 both feature extremely similar memory capacity for games and applications, they have exactly the same internal storage. Samsung Galaxy Note 5 has just a bit longer battery life than Apple iPhone 12, because it has 3000mAh of battery capacity against 2815mAh. The iPhone 12 and the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 have similar cameras, because although the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 has a tinier aperture which is not favorable for capturing images and video in low light situations and worse 30 frames per second video frame rates, and they both have the same (4K) video definition, it also counts with a back facing camera with lot more mega pixels.
Although iPhone 12 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Galaxy Note 5, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Galaxy Note 5. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy iPhone 12, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and buy the Galaxy Note 5, letting go a couple features and specifications.
