Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max is much better than the HTC One M9, with a 93.2 score against 77.7. Even though Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max is extremely heavier than HTC One M9, it's extremely thinner and way newer. Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max works with iOS 15.x operating system, and HTC One M9 comes with Android 5.0 operating system.
HTC One M9 counts with a little sharper display than Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max, although it has a just a little lower number of pixels per inch in the screen, a much smaller screen and a way worse resolution of 1920 x 1080. The Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max features a little faster processing unit than HTC One M9, because although it has lesser cores and doesn't have an additional GPU, and they both have a 64-bits processor, the Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max also counts with a higher amount of RAM.
The iPhone 13 Pro Max has a much bigger storage for games and applications than HTC One M9, because although it has no SD extension slot, it also counts with more internal storage. IPhone 13 Pro Max features a much better battery life than HTC One M9, because it has a 4352mAh battery size. The HTC One M9 shoots clearer photos and videos than iPhone 13 Pro Max, because although it has a way smaller aperture and lower video frame rate, and they both have the same video definition, the HTC One M9 also counts with a way more MP back camera.
Although Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max is a better device, it costs a lot more than the HTC One M9, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as HTC One M9. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max, otherwise you can save some dollars and buy the HTC One M9, letting go a couple specs and features.
