The Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max has a general score of 93.2, which is better than Samsung Galaxy S8's overall score of 81.7. Even though the Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max is much heavier than Samsung Galaxy S8, it's a little thinner and also a lot newer. The Galaxy S8 features a bit better looking screen than iPhone 13 Pro Max, because although it has a little smaller screen, it also counts with a just a little more pixels per inch of screen and a bit higher resolution of 1440 x 2960 pixels.
Samsung Galaxy S8 counts with slightly more memory for apps and games than Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max, because although it has only 64 GB internal memory capacity, it also counts with an external SD slot that holds a maximum of 256 GB. The iPhone 13 Pro Max counts with a quite superior hardware performance than Galaxy S8, because although it has 2 lesser cpu cores (although faster), it also counts with more RAM memory and a 64-bit processing unit.
The iPhone 13 Pro Max features a much longer battery performance than Galaxy S8, because it has a 45% larger battery capacity. The Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max takes a little bit better photographs and videos than Samsung Galaxy S8, and although they both have the same resolution back camera and the same 3840x2160 video quality, the Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max also has a larger aperture and better 60 frames per second video frame rate.
Although Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Galaxy S8, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Galaxy S8. So if you need that extra features, you can buy Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and get the Galaxy S8, resigning a couple specs and features.
