The iPhone 14 Pro Max has a score of 94.9, which is much better than the Huawei P40 Lite's 79.5 overall score. The iPhone 14 Pro Max has iOS 16.x OS, and Huawei P40 Lite works with Android 10 OS. Although the iPhone 14 Pro Max is heavier than the Huawei P40 Lite, it's just a little thinner and also noticeably newer.
IPhone 14 Pro Max counts with a better performing CPU than Huawei P40 Lite, because although it has less CPU cores , and they both have 6 GB of RAM, the iPhone 14 Pro Max also counts with a 64 bits CPU. Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max has just a bit better looking display than Huawei P40 Lite, because it has a higher 1290 x 2796 pixels resolution, a little bit greater amount of pixels per inch of screen and a little bit larger screen.

So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy iPhone 14 Pro Max, but if you don't you can save some money and buy the Huawei P40 Lite, giving up a couple features and specifications.
