The iPhone 12 Pro Max has a global score of 93.2, which is slightly better than iPhone 14's overall score of 92.5. These devices include iOS OS (operating system), but iPhone 12 Pro Max has an older 15.x version and iPhone 14 has iOS 16.x. IPhone 12 Pro Max's design is a little thinner than iPhone 14, although it's extremely heavier and was released around 22 months before.
IPhone 14 counts with a bit better processor than iPhone 12 Pro Max. Both have a Hexa-Core processor, a 64-bits processor and 6 GB of RAM. Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max and iPhone 14 have incredibly similar displays, and although the Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max has a little bigger display and a slightly better 1284 x 2778 pixels resolution, they both have the same pixels density and the same brightness.
The iPhone 12 Pro Max has a camera that is just as good as iPhone 14's camera, and although the iPhone 12 Pro Max has a smaller diafragm aperture which is not recommended for low light captures and videos, they both have the same 60 frames per second video frame rates, a same resolution back camera and the same (4K) video definition.
Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max's memory to install applications and games is very similar to the Apple iPhone 14 one, both of them have the same 128 GB internal memory. Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max features a little longer battery duration than iPhone 14, because it has 3687mAh of battery capacity against 3279mAh.
Although Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max is a better device, it costs more than iPhone 14, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the iPhone 14. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and get the iPhone 14, resigning a couple specs and features.
