The iPhone 14 is just a bit better than the Huawei P40, getting a global score of 92.5 against 86.4. The iPhone 14 design is a lot newer, just a little thinner and a little lighter than Huawei P40. IPhone 14 counts with iOS 16.x operating system, while Huawei P40 comes with Android 10 operating system.
The iPhone 14 counts with a better performance than Huawei P40, because although it has lesser cpu cores , and they both have the same RAM amount, the iPhone 14 also counts with a 64 bits processing unit. The Apple iPhone 14 counts with a more vivid display than Huawei P40, and although they both have a display of the same size, the Apple iPhone 14 also has a little higher count of pixels in each display inch and a quite better 1170 x 2532 resolution.
Huawei P40 and iPhone 14 both count with similar storage for games and applications, both of them have equal 128 GB internal storage. Huawei P40 has a way better camera than iPhone 14, because although it has a lot tinier aperture which is worse for shooting photographs or videos in low-light situations, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video definition and the same 60 fps video frame rates, the Huawei P40 also counts with a back-facing camera with a much better 50 megapixels resolution.

Although Apple iPhone 14 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Huawei P40, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Huawei P40. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy Apple iPhone 14, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and buy the Huawei P40, letting go some features and specs.
