Comparison review

HTC U Ultra has an overall score of 77, which is just a bit better than iPhone 5's 71.7 global score. The HTC U Ultra construction is incredibly newer, but extremely heavier and a little thicker than the iPhone 5. The iPhone 5 counts with a little more vivid display than HTC U Ultra, although it has a much smaller display, a much worse screen pixel density and a lot lower 1136 x 640 pixels resolution.

HTC U Ultra has a very superior storage capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Apple iPhone 5, and although they both have the same internal storage capacity, the HTC U Ultra also has a SD memory slot that allows up to 1,95 TB. HTC U Ultra has just a bit better hardware performance than iPhone 5, because it has a greater number of cores and more RAM memory.

The HTC U Ultra features a much longer battery duration than Apple iPhone 5, because it has 3000mAh of battery capacity instead of 1440mAh. The HTC U Ultra shoots much clearer pictures and videos than iPhone 5, because it has a much bigger back camera sensor shooting way higher quality photos and videos, a much bigger aperture to capture better low light photography and video, a lot more mega-pixels camera in the back and a much better (4K) video definition.

Although HTC U Ultra is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the iPhone 5, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as iPhone 5. If you are trying to save some dollars, you can buy iPhone 5, and give up a couple features, but you'll get the most with your budget.
