Apple iPhone 6 is just a bit better than the Galaxy S5, with a 79.2 score against 77.7. The Apple iPhone 6 is a somewhat lighter and somewhat thinner device than Galaxy S5, even though they were only released 3 months apart. Apple iPhone 6 has iOS 8.x operating system, while Galaxy S5 comes with Android 4.4.2 operating system.
Galaxy S5 features just a bit better looking screen than iPhone 6, because it has a little bigger display, a much higher resolution of 1920 x 1440 and a better pixels density. The Apple iPhone 6 has a lot bigger storage to install applications and games than Galaxy S5, because although it has no slot for external memory cards, it also counts with 112 GB more internal memory.
Samsung Galaxy S5 has a bit better hardware performance than Apple iPhone 6, because although it has a 32-bits CPU against 64-bits, it also counts with more cpu cores, 1 GB more RAM and a faster graphics co-processor. Galaxy S5 counts with a superior battery performance than Apple iPhone 6, because it has a 2800mAh battery size.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 captures much better pictures and videos than iPhone 6, and although they both have a F2.2 aperture, the Samsung Galaxy S5 also has a larger camera sensor taking higher quality photos and videos, a camera in the back with way more MP and a much higher video definition.
The iPhone 6 costs a little more money than Galaxy S5, but you can get a better phone for that few extra dollars.
