The iPhone 6 Plus is a little bit better than the Samsung Galaxy Note 5, getting an 80.4 score against 79.3. IPhone 6 Plus's design is just a bit thinner than Samsung Galaxy Note 5, but it is a bit heavier and was released about 11 months before. The iPhone 6 Plus comes with iOS 8.x operating system, while Samsung Galaxy Note 5 counts with Android 5.1 operating system.
Samsung Galaxy Note 5 counts with a display that is very similar to iPhone 6 Plus's screen, although the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 also has a better 2560 x 1440 resolution, a little larger display and a better pixels density. The iPhone 6 Plus counts with a bit faster processor than Galaxy Note 5, because although it has 3 GB lesser RAM memory, it also counts with an extra graphics processing unit, a 64-bits CPU and more processing cores.
The Galaxy Note 5 captures better photographs and videos than iPhone 6 Plus, because it has a way higher resolution back facing camera, a much better (4K) video resolution, a bigger sensor capturing better quality photos and a bigger aperture for better photography and videos in poorly lited environments.

If you want to save some dollars, you can buy the Samsung Galaxy Note 5, giving up a few features and specifications, but you will get the most out of your budget.
