Comparison review
The Xperia 1 has an overall score of 82.6, which is just a bit better than Apple iPhone 6 Plus's 80.4 score. Xperia 1's construction is a lot newer, but thicker and a bit heavier than the Apple iPhone 6 Plus. The Sony Xperia 1 features just a bit better screen than iPhone 6 Plus, because although it has way darker display, it also counts with a lot better pixel number per screen inch, a bigger display and a lot better 1644 x 3840 resolution.
Sony Xperia 1 has just a little better performance than Apple iPhone 6 Plus, because although it has a 32 bits CPU instead of 64-bits and doesn't have an extra graphics processing unit, it also counts with a higher amount of RAM memory and a higher number of faster cores. The Xperia 1 takes just a bit better photos and videos than Apple iPhone 6 Plus, because it has a way better (4K) video quality, a back-facing camera with much more MP, a larger sensor capturing more light and vivid colors and a lot larger aperture to capture better low-light images and video.
Sony Xperia 1 counts with a superior memory capacity to install games and applications than iPhone 6 Plus, and although they both have exactly the same 128 GB internal storage capacity, the Sony Xperia 1 also has an external memory slot that supports up to 512 GB. Sony Xperia 1 has just a little bit longer battery lifetime than Apple iPhone 6 Plus, because it has a 3330mAh battery capacity.
Although Sony Xperia 1 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than iPhone 6 Plus, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as iPhone 6 Plus. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy the Sony Xperia 1, else you can save a couple dollars and buy the iPhone 6 Plus, giving up some specifications.
