IPhone 6s Plus is just a bit better than the Samsung Galaxy S8, having a score of 84.2 against 81.7. IPhone 6s Plus's design is just a little thinner than Samsung Galaxy S8, but it's somewhat heavier and was released only 20 months before. The iPhone 6s Plus has a bit sharper screen than Samsung Galaxy S8, although it has a lot lower 1920 x 1080 resolution, a bit smaller display and a lot lower screen density.
The iPhone 6s Plus features just a bit better performance than Samsung Galaxy S8, because although it has an inferior number of cores and also slower and a smaller amount of RAM, it also counts with an additional GPU and a 64-bits CPU. Galaxy S8 counts with a little bit more storage capacity for games and applications than Apple iPhone 6s Plus, because although it has 0 less internal storage, it also counts with a slot for external memory cards that holds up to 256 GB.
Galaxy S8 has a bit superior battery performance than iPhone 6s Plus, because it has a 3000mAh battery size instead of 2750mAh. The Samsung Galaxy S8 shoots slightly better pictures and videos than Apple iPhone 6s Plus, and although they both have a same resolution back facing camera, the same 30 fps video frame rate and the same (4K) video definition, the Samsung Galaxy S8 also has a larger sensor providing a better image quality and a much bigger aperture to take better low light captures and videos.
Although Apple iPhone 6s Plus is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Galaxy S8, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Galaxy S8. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can buy Galaxy S8, letting go a couple features and specs, but you will get the most with your savings.
