Comparison review
Huawei Mate X2 is a bit better than Apple iPhone 8 Plus, getting an 89.1 score against 87.1. The Huawei Mate X2 is a notably newer phone than the Apple iPhone 8 Plus, although it is a lot heavier and a bit thicker. The Apple iPhone 8 Plus counts with a bit better processing power than Huawei Mate X2, because although it has a lower amount of RAM memory and an inferior number of cores and slower, it also counts with a 64 bits processing unit.
Apple iPhone 8 Plus features a little bit better looking screen than Huawei Mate X2, although it has a lot worse 1080 x 1920 resolution, a lot smaller screen and a bit worse pixels density. Huawei Mate X2 counts with a much better camera than iPhone 8 Plus, because although it has slower 30 fps video frame rate and a tinier aperture, and they both have the same (4K) video resolution, the Huawei Mate X2 also counts with a way higher resolution camera.
The iPhone 8 Plus and the Huawei Mate X2 both have quite similar storage to install games and applications, they have exactly the same internal memory capacity. The Huawei Mate X2 counts with a much better battery performance than Apple iPhone 8 Plus, because it has a 4500mAh battery capacity against 2691mAh.
Although Huawei Mate X2 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Apple iPhone 8 Plus, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Apple iPhone 8 Plus. So if you want that extra features, you can buy Huawei Mate X2, otherwise you can save some dollars and buy the Apple iPhone 8 Plus, letting go a couple specs and features.
