Apple iPhone 8 Plus has a general score of 87.1, which is a bit better than Huawei P40's 86.4 overall score. Apple iPhone 8 Plus's design is just a little thinner than the Huawei P40, but it's somewhat heavier and was released many years before. Apple iPhone 8 Plus counts with a bit better display than Huawei P40, although it has a little bit smaller display, a bit less pixels per inch in the display and a little worse resolution of 1080 x 1920.
The iPhone 8 Plus features just a little better performance than Huawei P40, because although it has lesser and slower cpu cores and lesser RAM, it also counts with a 64-bit CPU. Huawei P40 shoots a lot better pictures and videos than iPhone 8 Plus, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture, and they both have the same video frame rates and the same 3840x2160 video resolution, the Huawei P40 also counts with a much better resolution back camera and a lot bigger camera sensor taking more light and vivid colors.
The Apple iPhone 8 Plus has a lot bigger memory for applications, games, photos and videos than Huawei P40, because it has 256 GB internal memory. Huawei P40 counts with a much longer battery life than Apple iPhone 8 Plus, because it has 3800mAh of battery capacity instead of 2691mAh.
Although iPhone 8 Plus is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Huawei P40, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Huawei P40. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy the iPhone 8 Plus, but if you don't you can save some dollars and get the Huawei P40, resigning a couple specifications.
