IPhone 8 Plus has an overall score of 87.1, which is much better than the Samsung Galaxy S7 Active's 75.8 general score. IPhone 8 Plus's construction is newer and notably thinner than the Samsung Galaxy S7 Active's, but it is also a little heavier. Apple iPhone 8 Plus counts with a superior processing power than Samsung Galaxy S7 Active, because although it has less RAM memory, it also counts with a 64 bits processor and more processing cores.
The Samsung Galaxy S7 Active has a little sharper display than Apple iPhone 8 Plus, because although it has a lot more opaque display and a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a higher pixel quantity in each inch in the screen and a better resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels. The Apple iPhone 8 Plus features much more storage for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy S7 Active, because although it has no slot for an SD memory card, it also counts with 224 GB more internal memory.
The Galaxy S7 Active counts with a superior battery life than iPhone 8 Plus, because it has a 4000mAh battery size. The Apple iPhone 8 Plus counts with just a bit better camera than Samsung Galaxy S7 Active, because although it has a tinier camera aperture which is not nice for low light captures and videos, and they both have a same resolution back-facing camera and the same 3840x2160 video resolution, the Apple iPhone 8 Plus also counts with better video frame rates.
Although iPhone 8 Plus is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Galaxy S7 Active, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Galaxy S7 Active. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy iPhone 8 Plus, but if you don't you can save some money and buy the Galaxy S7 Active, giving up a couple features and specs.
