IPhone 8 Plus is much better than Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, getting an 87.1 score against 78.1. IPhone 8 Plus is a a lot heavier device than Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, but they are equally thin. Galaxy S7 edge and Apple iPhone 8 Plus have very similar screens, and although the Galaxy S7 edge has a greater number of pixels per inch of screen and a better resolution of 1440 x 2560px, they both have a display of the same size.
IPhone 8 Plus has much more memory capacity to install applications and games than Galaxy S7 edge, because although it has no slot for an SD memory card, it also counts with 256 GB internal memory capacity. IPhone 8 Plus features a faster processing unit than Galaxy S7 edge, because although it has 1 GB lesser RAM, it also counts with a greater number of cores and a 64-bit processing unit.
Galaxy S7 edge has a way better battery performance than iPhone 8 Plus, because it has 3600mAh of battery capacity. IPhone 8 Plus has a bit better camera than Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture which is not recommended for low light images and videos and a smaller back camera sensor shooting lower quality images and videos, and they both have a 12 mega-pixels camera in the back and the same (4K) video definition, the iPhone 8 Plus also counts with faster 60 fps video frame rate.
Although iPhone 8 Plus is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Samsung Galaxy S7 edge. So if you need that extra features, you can buy iPhone 8 Plus, else you can save some money and get the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, giving up a couple specs and features.
