IPhone 8 Plus has an overall score of 87.1, which is a little bit better than the Galaxy S8 Active's global score of 81.9. Even though the iPhone 8 Plus and the Galaxy S8 Active were released only a couple months apart, the iPhone 8 Plus is noticeably thinner and a little bit lighter. Galaxy S8 Active has just a bit better display than iPhone 8 Plus, because it has a better pixels quantity in each display inch, a bit larger screen and a way better resolution of 1440 x 2960.
IPhone 8 Plus counts with a way bigger memory capacity to store more games and applications than Samsung Galaxy S8 Active, because although it has no external memory slot, it also counts with 256 GB internal memory. The iPhone 8 Plus has a little faster processing unit than Samsung Galaxy S8 Active, because although it has less RAM and an inferior number of cores , it also counts with a 64-bit processing unit.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 Active features a really longer battery lifetime than Apple iPhone 8 Plus, because it has a 49 percent bigger battery capacity. Apple iPhone 8 Plus features a little bit better camera than Galaxy S8 Active, because although it has a smaller sensor taking worse quality photos and videos and a smaller aperture, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video resolution and the same resolution back-facing camera, the Apple iPhone 8 Plus also counts with faster 60 fps video frame rate.
Although iPhone 8 Plus is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Galaxy S8 Active, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Galaxy S8 Active. If you want to save some dollars, you can get the Galaxy S8 Active, giving up a few features and specs, but you'll get the most with your money.
