Comparison review
The iPhone 8 Plus has a score of 87.1, which is just a bit better than Galaxy S9's 83.3 overall score. IPhone 8 Plus's construction is somewhat heavier but a bit thinner than the Galaxy S9, and they were released only 6 months apart. Galaxy S9 has a little more vivid screen than iPhone 8 Plus, because it has a quite larger display, a much better 1440 x 2960px resolution and a better count of pixels per inch in the display.
The Apple iPhone 8 Plus counts with a bit superior processing unit than Galaxy S9, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM memory and a lower number of slower cores, it also counts with a 64 bits CPU. Galaxy S9 has a bit better camera than Apple iPhone 8 Plus, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, the same resolution back-facing camera and the same 60 fps video frame rate, the Galaxy S9 also has a larger sensor which offers a higher image and video quality and a bigger aperture to take better low-light images.
IPhone 8 Plus features a quite bigger storage to store more apps and games than Galaxy S9, because although it has no slot for SD memory cards, it also counts with 192 GB more internal storage. The Samsung Galaxy S9 features a bit superior battery lifetime than Apple iPhone 8 Plus, because it has 3000mAh of battery capacity instead of 2691mAh.
Although iPhone 8 Plus is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Galaxy S9, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Galaxy S9. If you are trying to save some money, you can buy the Galaxy S9, letting go a couple features, but you will get the most out of your budget.
