Comparison review
The Xperia 5 III has a score of 90.5, which is slightly better than the Apple iPhone 8 Plus's 87.1 general score. Xperia 5 III's body is a lot newer and somewhat lighter, but also a little thicker than the Apple iPhone 8 Plus. IPhone 8 Plus counts with a bit better processing power than Xperia 5 III, because although it has an inferior number of slower cores and 5 GB less RAM, it also counts with a 64-bit CPU.
The Apple iPhone 8 Plus has a slightly better screen than Sony Xperia 5 III, although it has a quite smaller display, a little worse screen density and a little bit worse 1080 x 1920px resolution. The Xperia 5 III features a much greater memory to store more games and applications than iPhone 8 Plus, and although they both have equal internal memory, the Xperia 5 III also has a SD memory slot that allows up to 1 TB.
