The Apple iPhone 8 Plus has a global score of 87.1, which is slightly better than Sony Xperia XZ Premium's score of 79.8. The Apple iPhone 8 Plus construction is just a bit thinner but a little heavier than Sony Xperia XZ Premium, and both of them were released with only a couple of months difference.
The iPhone 8 Plus has a little better processing power than Xperia XZ Premium, because although it has an inferior number of cores and a smaller amount of RAM memory, it also counts with a 64-bits processing unit. The Sony Xperia XZ Premium counts with a more vivid display than iPhone 8 Plus, and although they both have a screen of the same size, the Sony Xperia XZ Premium also has a way greater display density, a bit more screen brightness and a way higher 2160 x 3840 resolution.
The Xperia XZ Premium has a bit better camera than iPhone 8 Plus, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not recommended for low-light captures and lower 30 frames per second video frame rates, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video definition, the Xperia XZ Premium also counts with a way larger sensor shooting lot higher quality photographs and a camera with lot more megapixels.
The iPhone 8 Plus counts with a much bigger memory capacity for games and applications than Xperia XZ Premium, because although it has no SD card slot, it also counts with 192 GB more internal memory. Xperia XZ Premium features superior battery lifetime than Apple iPhone 8 Plus, because it has 3230mAh of battery capacity.
