IPhone X is better than Huawei Mate 8, having a global score of 88.1 against 77.4. The iPhone X design is newer, just a little lighter and just a bit thinner than the Huawei Mate 8. The iPhone X has a bit faster CPU than Huawei Mate 8, because although it has an inferior number of cores (although faster) and less RAM memory, it also counts with a 64 bits processing unit.
The iPhone X counts with a brighter display than Huawei Mate 8, because although it has a little smaller screen, it also counts with a slightly better 1125 x 2436 resolution and a better pixel quantity in each inch in the display. IPhone X features just a bit bigger memory capacity for applications and games than Huawei Mate 8, because although it has no SD memory card expansion slot, it also counts with 256 GB internal storage.
Apple iPhone X features just a bit better camera than Huawei Mate 8, because although it has a back camera with much less megapixels resolution, it also counts with a way higher 3840x2160 (4K) video definition and a bigger camera aperture. Huawei Mate 8 counts with a much better battery duration than iPhone X, because it has a 47% bigger battery capacity.
Apple iPhone X is a lot more expensive than the Huawei Mate 8, but it's still a good choice, as you can get a lot more for that extra money.
