The iPhone XR is just a bit better than the Galaxy Alpha, getting a general score of 82 against 76.3. IPhone XR's construction is heavier and extremely thicker than Galaxy Alpha. The iPhone XR features just a little better performance than Galaxy Alpha, because although it has doesn't have an extra graphics processor, it also counts with a 64 bits processing unit, more RAM and a higher number of cores.
Galaxy Alpha counts with a slightly better display than Apple iPhone XR, although it has a much smaller screen, a little bit lower pixels density and a lot lower resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The iPhone XR counts with just a bit better camera than Galaxy Alpha, and although they both have the same resolution camera and the same 3840x2160 video quality, the iPhone XR also has faster 60 fps video frame rate and a bigger aperture to capture better captures and video in poorly lited situations.
The iPhone XR counts with a much better storage capacity to store more apps and games than Samsung Galaxy Alpha, because it has 64 GB internal memory capacity. Apple iPhone XR counts with a much better battery life than Galaxy Alpha, because it has 2942mAh of battery capacity instead of 1860mAh.
Although Apple iPhone XR is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Samsung Galaxy Alpha, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Samsung Galaxy Alpha. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can get the Samsung Galaxy Alpha, and give up a few specs and features, but you will get the most with your savings.
