IPhone XS has a global score of 84.2, which is a bit better than Huawei Mate 8's 77.4 score. IPhone XS's body is a lot newer, just a little bit lighter and a bit thinner than Huawei Mate 8. The Apple iPhone XS counts with a better processing unit than Huawei Mate 8, because although it has a lower number of cores , and they both have a 4 GB RAM, the Apple iPhone XS also counts with a 64 bits processing unit.
The iPhone XS counts with a much better looking display than Huawei Mate 8, because although it has a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a higher pixel number per inch of screen and a quite better 1125 x 2436 resolution. The Huawei Mate 8 has a much greater storage capacity to install applications and games than iPhone XS, because it has 128 GB internal memory capacity and a slot for an external memory card that admits a maximum of 128 GB.
IPhone XS takes slightly better pictures and videos than Huawei Mate 8, because although it has a camera in the back with a much lower 12 megapixels resolution, it also counts with a larger camera aperture to capture better low-light captures and videos and a way higher 3840x2160 video quality. The Huawei Mate 8 has a superior battery life than iPhone XS, because it has a 4000mAh battery capacity instead of 2659mAh.
Apple iPhone XS costs a lot more money than the Huawei Mate 8, but it's still a great choice, because you can get a much better phone for that extra money.
