Comparison review
IPhone XS is a little bit better than Samsung Galaxy S8 Active, getting a overall score of 84.2 against 81.9. The iPhone XS is a newer phone, and it is also lighter and much thinner than Samsung Galaxy S8 Active. The Apple iPhone XS counts with a more powerful processor than Galaxy S8 Active, because although it has an inferior number of cores , and they both have 4 GB of RAM memory, the Apple iPhone XS also counts with a 64-bits CPU.
Samsung Galaxy S8 Active counts with a display that is very similar to the iPhone XS one, and although the Samsung Galaxy S8 Active has a little greater pixels count per inch of screen and a better 1440 x 2960 resolution, they both have a same size screen. The Galaxy S8 Active features a lot bigger storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Apple iPhone XS, and although they both have exactly the same internal storage, the Galaxy S8 Active also has a slot for an external memory card that admits a maximum of 256 GB.
The iPhone XS shoots slightly better photographs and videos than Galaxy S8 Active, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not nice for low-light images, and they both have the same sensor size, the same video resolution and a back-facing camera with a 12 mega pixels, the iPhone XS also counts with higher 60 fps video frame rate.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 Active counts with a much better battery duration than Apple iPhone XS, because it has a 50% more battery size.
Although Apple iPhone XS is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Samsung Galaxy S8 Active, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Samsung Galaxy S8 Active. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy the Apple iPhone XS, else you can save some money and buy the Samsung Galaxy S8 Active, letting go some features and specs.
