Motorola DROID MAXX 2 is just a bit better than the Asus Padfone 2, getting a overall score of 67.7 against 63.9. Motorola DROID MAXX 2's construction is much newer, but much heavier and somewhat thicker than the Asus Padfone 2. These devices come with Android OS, but Motorola DROID MAXX 2 has the newer 5.1 version and Asus Padfone 2 has Android 4.4 version, so it gives you a couple additional features.
Asus Padfone 2 has just a bit better hardware performance than Motorola DROID MAXX 2, and although they both have a 2 GB RAM memory, the Asus Padfone 2 also has an extra graphics co-processor and 3 more processing cores (although slower). The Motorola DROID MAXX 2 features a little more vivid screen than Asus Padfone 2, because it has a higher count of pixels per inch of display, a bigger display and a much higher resolution of 1920 x 1080px.
Motorola DROID MAXX 2 has a much bigger storage for games and applications than Asus Padfone 2, and although they both have equal 16 GB internal storage capacity, the Motorola DROID MAXX 2 also has a SD extension slot that allows a maximum of 128 GB. The Motorola DROID MAXX 2 features a little bit better camera than Asus Padfone 2, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same 1920x1080 video quality, the Motorola DROID MAXX 2 also has a larger aperture to take better photography and videos in low-light situations and a way higher resolution camera in the back.
Motorola DROID MAXX 2 has a really longer battery lifetime than Asus Padfone 2, because it has a 70 percent bigger battery capacity.
