Comparison review
Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G has a score of 90.5, which is just a bit better than the Asus ROG Phone 3 Strix Edition's 87.4 score. Even though Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G and the Asus ROG Phone 3 Strix Edition were released with only a couple months difference, Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G is lighter and thinner. Both devices in this review work with the same Android 10 OS.
The Asus ROG Phone 3 Strix Edition counts with a bit better performance than Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G. Both of them have the same number of cores and a 8 GB RAM. Asus ROG Phone 3 Strix Edition features a little sharper screen than Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G, because although it has a quite lower resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels and a just a bit worse quantity of pixels per inch of screen, it also counts with a bit larger screen.
The Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G counts with as much memory capacity to store more games and applications as Asus ROG Phone 3 Strix Edition, they have the same internal storage. Asus ROG Phone 3 Strix Edition features improved battery duration than Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G, because it has a 33% greater battery capacity.
Asus ROG Phone 3 Strix Edition shoots just a bit better photos and videos than Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is not recommended for taking photos or video in poorly lited situations, and they both have the same back-facing camera sensor size, the Asus ROG Phone 3 Strix Edition also counts with a back camera with much more mega-pixels and a lot higher 7680x4320 video resolution.
