The Asus ROG Phone 7 has a score of 81.2, which is just a bit better than the Galaxy A5 (2017)'s score of 75.8. The Asus ROG Phone 7 body is way newer, but incredibly thicker and extremely heavier than Galaxy A5 (2017). Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) features a much better hardware performance than Asus ROG Phone 7, although it has 13 GB less RAM, they both have 8 cores.
