Asus ROG Phone 7 is just a bit better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 2021, getting an 81.2 score against 76.7. Both devices in this review work with Android OS, but the Asus ROG Phone 7 has a newer 13 version while Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 2021 has Android 11, giving you a couple additional features. Asus ROG Phone 7 is a newer cellphone than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 2021, but it is a lot heavier and thicker.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 2021 features a lot better performance than Asus ROG Phone 7, although it has 12 GB lesser RAM, they both have the same number of cores. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 2021 counts with a slightly better screen than Asus ROG Phone 7, although it has a little bit worse display pixel density, a much lower 1080 x 2340px resolution and a little bit smaller screen.
