Comparison review
The Asus ROG Phone 5 Ultimate is much better than Asus ROG Phone 8, with a global score of 94 against 79.5. Even being the best cellphone in this review, we must highlight that it is also a much older, thicker and a little bit heavier cellphone. The Asus ROG Phone 5 Ultimate counts with a lot better performance than Asus ROG Phone 8, and although they both have 8 cores, the Asus ROG Phone 5 Ultimate also has 6 GB more RAM.
Asus ROG Phone 8 has a slightly better looking display than Asus ROG Phone 5 Ultimate, because although it has a little bit lower 1080 x 2400px resolution and a bit inferior number of pixels per inch of screen, and they both have a screen with the same size, the Asus ROG Phone 8 also counts with much more brightness.
Asus ROG Phone 5 Ultimate captures just a bit better photographs and videos than Asus ROG Phone 8, because although it has a smaller sensor capturing worse quality photos and videos, and they both have the same 7680x4320 video resolution, the Asus ROG Phone 5 Ultimate also counts with a bigger camera aperture for better photography in low light situations, a camera in the back with a lot higher resolution and higher video frame rates.
Asus ROG Phone 5 Ultimate has a way bigger storage capacity to store more apps and games than Asus ROG Phone 8, because it has more internal memory. Asus ROG Phone 5 Ultimate counts with a little better battery performance than Asus ROG Phone 8, because it has a 6000mAh battery size.
