Even being the best in this review, we must tell that it's also somewhat thicker and way heavier. Both devices in this review include Android operating system, but Asus ROG Phone 8 has newer 14 version while Motorola Edge 40 has Android 13 version.
The Motorola Edge 40 has a processing unit that's very similar to the Asus ROG Phone 8 one, and although the Motorola Edge 40 has a lower amount of RAM, they both have the same number of cores. Asus ROG Phone 8 features a bit sharper screen than Motorola Edge 40, because although it has a little bit lower count of pixels per inch of display, and they both have the same exact 1080 x 2400 resolution, the Asus ROG Phone 8 also counts with way more brightness and a little bit larger screen.
Asus ROG Phone 8 shoots just a bit better videos and photos than Motorola Edge 40, because although it has a tinier camera sensor offering a lower image quality and a way tinier diafragm aperture, and they both have a same resolution back facing camera, the Asus ROG Phone 8 also counts with a way better 7680x4320 video definition.
The Asus ROG Phone 8 features a superior storage to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Motorola Edge 40, because it has 256 GB internal storage capacity. Asus ROG Phone 8 has superior battery lifetime than Motorola Edge 40, because it has 5500mAh of battery capacity.
