The Samsung Galaxy Note8 is a bit better than the Asus ROG Phone 8, with a general score of 83 against 79.5. Despite of the fact that Samsung Galaxy Note8 is a lot older than Asus ROG Phone 8, it's construction is just a bit thinner and somewhat lighter. Both phones we compare here have Android OS, but the Samsung Galaxy Note8 has newer 9.0 Pie version and Asus ROG Phone 8 has Android 14 version, so it gives you a couple additional features and enhanced performance.

The Asus ROG Phone 8 features a slightly better looking screen than Samsung Galaxy Note8, because although it has a lot lower 1080 x 2400px resolution and a much lower pixel quantity per screen inch, it also counts with a bit bigger screen. Galaxy Note8 has a way better performance than Asus ROG Phone 8, although it has 6 GB less RAM, they both have the same number of cores.

Asus ROG Phone 8 shoots a lot better photographs and videos than Samsung Galaxy Note8, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture, it also counts with a way higher video quality, a much bigger back-facing camera sensor taking much higher quality videos and photographs and a much more megapixels back camera.

The Asus ROG Phone 8 features a way bigger memory capacity to store more apps and games than Samsung Galaxy Note8, because although it has no SD memory card expansion slot, it also counts with 256 GB internal memory. The Asus ROG Phone 8 counts with a very superior battery life than Samsung Galaxy Note8, because it has 5500mAh of battery capacity.
