Comparison review
The Asus ROG Phone 8 is just a bit better than Galaxy S7 edge, getting a 79.5 score against 78.1. These phones use Android OS (operating system), but Asus ROG Phone 8 has the previous 14 version and Galaxy S7 edge has Android 8.0 Oreo version. Although the Asus ROG Phone 8 is newer than the Galaxy S7 edge, it's somewhat thicker and extremely heavier.
Asus ROG Phone 8 features a better screen than Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, because although it has a much worse screen density and a bit lower resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, it also counts with a bigger display. The Asus ROG Phone 8 counts with a much bigger memory for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy S7 edge, because although it has no slot for an external memory card, it also counts with 256 GB internal memory.
The Samsung Galaxy S7 edge features a much better performing CPU than Asus ROG Phone 8, although it has 8 GB less RAM and a lower number of cores. Asus ROG Phone 8 has a very superior battery duration than Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, because it has a 53% larger battery capacity. The Asus ROG Phone 8 captures greater photographs and videos than Galaxy S7 edge, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture which is worse for low-light images and video, it also counts with a much bigger back camera sensor capturing lot better quality photos, a much better video quality and a back facing camera with much more mega-pixels.
