Sony Xperia 1 has a general score of 82.6, which is just a bit better than Asus ROG Phone 8's 79.5 global score. Sony Xperia 1's body is a lot lighter and just a little thinner than the Asus ROG Phone 8, despite of the fact that it was released 5 years before. Xperia 1 features an extremely better processor than Asus ROG Phone 8, although it has a smaller amount of RAM, they both have the same number of cores.
Xperia 1 has a screen that's just as good as Asus ROG Phone 8's display, because although the Xperia 1 has much worse brightness and a little smaller screen, it also counts with way more pixels per display inch and a way higher resolution of 1644 x 3840px. Asus ROG Phone 8 counts with a much better camera than Xperia 1, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is not good for taking photos or video in low-light situations, it also counts with a way more mega pixels back camera, a lot bigger sensor taking lot better quality videos and photos and a much higher 7680x4320 video resolution.
Sony Xperia 1 counts with just a bit bigger memory capacity to install applications and games than Asus ROG Phone 8, because although it has 0 less internal storage capacity, it also counts with a slot for external memory cards that supports up to 512 GB. Asus ROG Phone 8 has a very superior battery life than Xperia 1, because it has a 5500mAh battery size against 3330mAh.
