The Xperia 1 II has an overall score of 91, which is better than Asus ROG Phone 8's 79.5 score. Despite of the fact that the Xperia 1 II is incredibly older than the Asus ROG Phone 8, it's construction is somewhat thinner and lighter. Both of these phones use Android OS, but the Xperia 1 II has older 11 version while Asus ROG Phone 8 has Android 14 version.

Asus ROG Phone 8 counts with a slightly better display than Xperia 1 II, because although it has a way worse 1080 x 2400 resolution and a much worse display density, it also counts with a quite bigger screen. The Xperia 1 II has a much better storage to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Asus ROG Phone 8, and although they both have exactly the same 256 GB internal storage, the Xperia 1 II also has a slot for SD memory cards that allows up to 1000 GB.
