Comparison review
Xperia 1 III is much better than the Asus ROG Phone 8, with a 93.3 score against 79.5. The Xperia 1 III body is lighter and just a little bit thinner than the Asus ROG Phone 8, despite of the fact that it was released 3 years before. Both devices in this comparison review work with Android operating system, but the Xperia 1 III has the older 11 version while Asus ROG Phone 8 has Android 14 version.
Sony Xperia 1 III counts with a much more powerful processor than Asus ROG Phone 8. They have a 12 GB RAM memory and the same number of cores. The Asus ROG Phone 8 counts with a bit sharper screen than Sony Xperia 1 III, because although it has a lot lower 1080 x 2400 resolution and a way lower pixel number per inch in the display, it also counts with a little bigger screen.
Sony Xperia 1 III has a superior storage to install applications and games than Asus ROG Phone 8, and although they both have the same internal storage capacity, the Sony Xperia 1 III also has an external SD slot that supports a maximum of 1 TB. The Asus ROG Phone 8 takes much clearer pictures and videos than Xperia 1 III, because although it has a smaller camera aperture which is not nice for low-light images and video, it also counts with a camera in the back with way more MP, a bigger sensor which offers a better image and video quality and a much better video resolution.
The Asus ROG Phone 8 counts with greater battery duration than Xperia 1 III, because it has 5500mAh of battery capacity against 4500mAh.
