Comparison review
The Xperia 5 II is just a bit better than Asus ROG Phone 8, getting an 87.2 score against 79.5. Xperia 5 II is an older cellphone than Asus ROG Phone 8, but it is thinner and notably lighter anyway. Xperia 5 II has a lot better processing power than Asus ROG Phone 8, although it has 4 GB less RAM, they both have the same number of cores.
Asus ROG Phone 8 features a brighter screen than Xperia 5 II, because although it has a quite inferior pixel count per screen inch and a bit lower resolution of 1080 x 2400, it also counts with a quite larger display. The Xperia 5 II has a greater memory to store more games and applications than Asus ROG Phone 8, because although it has just 128 GB internal memory, it also counts with an external memory slot that admits up to 1000 GB.
Asus ROG Phone 8 counts with a much longer battery duration than Sony Xperia 5 II, because it has a 5500mAh battery capacity instead of 4000mAh. Asus ROG Phone 8 counts with a superior camera than Sony Xperia 5 II, because although it has a smaller aperture, it also counts with a camera in the back with a lot better 50 mega pixels resolution, a larger back-facing camera sensor capturing more light and vivid colors and a much better video definition.
