The Asus ROG Phone 8 has a global score of 79.5, which is slightly better than the Xperia XA2 Plus's 78.6 global score. Both phones in this review come with Android OS (operating system), but the Asus ROG Phone 8 has 14 version and Xperia XA2 Plus has Android 8.0 Oreo version. Asus ROG Phone 8's design is incredibly newer and just a little thinner, but also just a bit heavier than Xperia XA2 Plus.
Xperia XA2 Plus counts with a very superior processor than Asus ROG Phone 8, although it has 6 GB less RAM memory, they both have a Octa-Core CPU. The Asus ROG Phone 8 has a brighter screen than Xperia XA2 Plus, because although it has a just a bit lower screen density, it also counts with a slightly better resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, a bit bigger screen and way more display brightness.
The Asus ROG Phone 8 captures much clearer photographs and videos than Xperia XA2 Plus, because it has a bigger aperture, a much higher 7680x4320 video quality, a much better resolution back facing camera and a much larger sensor shooting much better quality photographs and videos. The Asus ROG Phone 8 features a quite bigger storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Xperia XA2 Plus, because although it has no external memory slot, it also counts with 192 GB more internal storage capacity.
Asus ROG Phone 8 features a very superior battery lifetime than Sony Xperia XA2 Plus, because it has 5500mAh of battery capacity instead of 3580mAh.
