The Asus ROG Phone 8 is just a bit better than the Xperia Z5, getting a overall score of 79.5 against 77.6. Both devices we are comparing here work with Android OS, but Asus ROG Phone 8 has 14 version and Xperia Z5 has Android 5.1, so it provides you some nice extra features and performance improvements. Although the Asus ROG Phone 8 is way newer than the Xperia Z5, it's incredibly heavier and thicker.
Asus ROG Phone 8 features a bit more vivid display than Xperia Z5, because although it has a little inferior pixel amount in each display inch, it also counts with a much larger display and a slightly better 1080 x 2400 resolution. The Sony Xperia Z5 counts with a much more powerful processing unit than Asus ROG Phone 8, because although it has 9 GB less RAM, and they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Sony Xperia Z5 also counts with an extra graphics processing unit.
The Asus ROG Phone 8 features a way bigger memory capacity for games and applications than Sony Xperia Z5, because although it has no external SD slot, it also counts with 256 GB internal memory capacity. Asus ROG Phone 8 has a superior camera than Xperia Z5, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not nice for low light captures and video, it also counts with a much larger sensor taking more light and vivid colors, a much better video resolution and a back facing camera with lot more MP.
The Asus ROG Phone 8 features a much better battery duration than Sony Xperia Z5, because it has 5500mAh of battery capacity.
