Comparison review
Xiaomi 14 Ultra is a little bit better than Asus ROG Phone 8, with an 84.4 score against 79.5. The Xiaomi 14 Ultra design is a bit lighter but just a little bit thicker than Asus ROG Phone 8, and both of them were only released with a couple months difference. Both devices in this comparison come with the same Android 14 OS (operating system).
The Xiaomi 14 Ultra counts with a little sharper screen than Asus ROG Phone 8, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a little brighter display, more pixels per inch in the display and a higher 1440 x 3200px resolution. Xiaomi 14 Ultra's processing unit is just as good as the processor in Asus ROG Phone 8, both have a Octa-Core processor and 12 GB of RAM.
Asus ROG Phone 8 shoots clearer pictures and videos than Xiaomi 14 Ultra, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture which is not recommended for taking photos or videos in low light environments and slower video frame rate, and they both have the same resolution back-facing camera and the same video quality, the Asus ROG Phone 8 also counts with a lot larger sensor which provides a way better image and video quality.
The Xiaomi 14 Ultra and Asus ROG Phone 8 count with really similar memory for applications, games, photos and videos, both of them have exactly the same 256 GB internal memory capacity. The Asus ROG Phone 8 features just a bit longer battery performance than Xiaomi 14 Ultra, because it has a 5500mAh battery capacity instead of 5000mAh.
