Comparison review
Xiaomi Black Shark is just a bit better than Asus ROG Phone 8, with an 80.4 score against 79.5. Both devices in this review come with Android OS (Operating System), but the Xiaomi Black Shark has newer 9.0 Pie version while Asus ROG Phone 8 has Android 14. The Xiaomi Black Shark body is lighter than the Asus ROG Phone 8, but it is a bit thicker and was released 6 years before.
The Xiaomi Black Shark has a way better performance than Asus ROG Phone 8, although it has 4 GB lesser RAM, they both have the same number of cores. The Asus ROG Phone 8 has a brighter display than Xiaomi Black Shark, because although it has a little less pixels per inch of display, it also counts with a little bit bigger display, a slightly higher resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and much more screen brightness.
The Asus ROG Phone 8 has a way bigger storage capacity to store more games and applications than Xiaomi Black Shark, because it has 256 GB internal storage capacity. Asus ROG Phone 8 has a way better camera than Xiaomi Black Shark, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is not nice for low-light photos, it also counts with a way higher video resolution, a much higher 50 mega-pixels resolution back-facing camera and a much larger back camera sensor taking more light and vivid colors.
Asus ROG Phone 8 counts with a much longer battery lifetime than Xiaomi Black Shark, because it has a 38 percent larger battery size.
