Comparison review
The Xperia XZ2 Premium has a score of 82.2, which is much better than the Asus ROG Phone 9 Pro's global score of 74.2. The Xperia XZ2 Premium counts with a very superior processor than Asus ROG Phone 9 Pro, although it has a lower amount of RAM memory, they both have the same number of cores. The Xperia XZ2 Premium features a lot better looking screen than Asus ROG Phone 9 Pro, although it has a little bit smaller screen and much worse brightness.
Asus ROG Phone 9 Pro captures a bit better videos and photos than Xperia XZ2 Premium, and although they both have the same (4K) video resolution, the Asus ROG Phone 9 Pro also has a back-facing camera with a much better 50 MP resolution, a much larger sensor providing a much higher image quality and faster video frame rates.
The Asus ROG Phone 9 Pro counts with much more storage capacity for games and applications than Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium, because although it has no external SD slot, it also counts with 512 GB internal memory capacity. Asus ROG Phone 9 Pro has a very superior battery duration than Xperia XZ2 Premium, because it has 5800mAh of battery capacity instead of 3540mAh.
Despite of being the best phone of the ones we are comparing here, Xperia XZ2 Premium is also very cheap compared to the other ones, which makes this phone an obvious call.
