Comparison review
Xiaomi Mi 8 is just a bit better than the Asus ROG Phone, having a score of 83.3 against 77.1. Even when Xiaomi Mi 8 and the Asus ROG Phone were released with only a couple of months difference, Xiaomi Mi 8 is somewhat thinner and lighter. The Asus ROG Phone and the Xiaomi Mi 8 have very similar displays, and although the Xiaomi Mi 8 has a little bit bigger display, a bit higher 1080 x 2248 pixels resolution and a little more brightness, they both have a higher quantity of pixels per screen inch.
Asus ROG Phone has a way bigger storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Xiaomi Mi 8, because it has 256 GB more internal memory. Asus ROG Phone counts with a little faster processor than Xiaomi Mi 8, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Asus ROG Phone also has 2 GB more RAM.
The Xiaomi Mi 8 captures greater videos and photos than Asus ROG Phone, although it has worse 30 fps video frame rate, they both have the same aperture, the same back-facing camera sensor size and the same (4K) video definition. The Asus ROG Phone counts with better battery lifetime than Xiaomi Mi 8, because it has an 18% greater battery capacity.
